Film Deaths

  • All Quiet on the Western Front (1930) [Paul Baumer]: Shot to death by a French sniper as he reaches out of the trench to touch a butterfly. We only see a close-up of his character's hand (director Lewis Milestone actually used his own hand in the final close-up).
  • Damien: Omen II (1978) [Bill Atherton]: Drowned in the river after Jonathan Scott-Taylor's powers cause him to fall through the ice, while the others try to rescue him. (his part was entirely a stand-in at this point). (Thanks to Robert)
