  • The Most Dangerous Game (1932) [Count Zaroff]: Killed out-of-shot by his hunting dogs when he falls into their pen after being stabbed in the back with one of his arrows by Joel McCrea. We hear his scream and the noise of the dogs. (Thanks to Brian)
  • Jamaica Inn (1939) [Joss Merlynn]: Shot in the back by Emlyn Williams as he rides off with Maureen O'Hara from the Wreckers on the beach. He dies some minutes later back at the inn. (Thanks to Brian)
  • Went the Day Well? (1942) [Oliver Wilsford]: Shot by Valerie Taylor when she discovers that he's a Nazi saboteur.
