- Ganja & Hess (Black Evil; Black Vampire; Blackout; The Moment of Terror; Blood Couple; Double Pocession; Vampires of Harlem) (1973) [Archie]: Stabbed to death (off-screen) by Marlene Clark; his body is shown afterwards lying on the larn as the "reborn" Duane Jones runs naked across the lawn. (since the “rebirth” scene appears to be symbolic, it’s unclear if Leonard is actually dead. This scene was cut from the cut known as Blood Couple and all the VHS alternate titles, but had been restored in the US dvd edition, the edited version gives no indication of Leonard’s fate, giving the impression that he survives the movie).
