- The Godfather Part II (1974) [Hyman Roth]: Shot in the chest by Tom Rosqui on Al Pacino's orders, while Lee is being escorted by a police guard. (a loose play on Jack Ruby shooting Lee Harvey Oswald.) (See Danny Jacobs for the video game version)
- The Cassandra Crossing (1976) [Herman Kaplan]: Commits suicide/sacrifices himself in an explosion by igniting his cigarette lighter by a leaking gas tank on the train.
- Going in Style (1979) [Willie]: Dies (off-screen) shortly after having a heart attack while sitting on a park bench with George Burns and Art Carney; we see him being taken to the hospital in an ambulance, followed by a scene of George and Art waiting outside the emergency room.
