Film Deaths[]
- The Man Who Stole the Sun (Taiyo wo nusunda otoko) (1979) [Makoto Kido] While we don't see his death, the final frame of the film is a freeze frame of his face and we then hear sounds of an atomic bomb going off, giving the impression that his atomic bomb in his bag went off as the clock down ends.
- Samurai Reincarnation (Makai tenshô) (1981) [Shiro Amakusa]: Executed by decapitation sometime before the film begins. His head is shown on display later in the film. He then comes back to life as a ghost/demon and is once again decapitated by Sonny Chiba. This doesn't kill him, but he vanishes into the flames vowing to return if humans continue to be evil.
- It's A Flickering Life (2021) [Mozu] Dies of a heart attack in a theater as the film ends.
