- The Gift (2000) [Jessica King]: Strangled by Greg Kinnear out in the woods at night. Her body is shown in Cate Blanchett's psychic visions, then in reality when the police fish her out of the pond near Keanu Reeves' house. - Don't Be Afraid of the Dark (2010) [Kim]: Leg broken by rope carried by Tooth Breakers and then pulled into their world, to be disfigured and altered into one of them. Death is done as self-sacrifice to prevent the capture and death of young stepdaughter Bailee Madison.
TV Deaths
- Dawson's Creek: Dance (1998) [Joey Potter]: In a re-enactment of Creature from the Black Lagoon movie, James Van Der Beek killed off her character by decapitating her by the monster creature. She survived the episode in reality.
