Katherine Hepburn (1907 - 2003)
Survivor of the 1938 New England hurricane
Film Deaths[]
- Christopher Strong (1933) [Lady Cynthia Darrington]: Killed in a plane crash after she suicidally takes off her oxygen mask, causing her to pass out at the controls (she may or may not have died of asphyxiation before impact).
- Mary of Scotland (1936) [Mary Stuart, Queen of Scots]: Executed by beheading (off-screen); the movie ends as she approaches the chopping block, at which point the camera pans up to the sky as a thunderclap roars (presumably indicating/symbolizing the moment of her death).
- Keeper of the Flame (1942) [Mrs. Christine Forrest]: Shot in the chest by Richard Whorf; she dies in Spencer Tracy's arms moments later. (Thanks to Tracey)
- Love Affair (1994) [Ginny]: Dies (off-screen) of natural causes/old age. Her body is not shown; her death is simply implied by showing Warren Beatty returning to her now-empty house.
Notable connections[]
- Ex-Mrs. Ludlow Ogden
