- Summer of Secrets (1976) [Rachel]: Dies (off-screen) of a brain tumor, several years before the story begins. Her perfectly-preserved frozen body is shown when Rufus Collins brings her into the laboratory to reveal her to Nell Campbell. She is brought back to life when her husband (Arthur Dignam) performs an experimental procedure to revive her while removing the tumor, and the resurrected Kate survives the rest of the movie.
