Film Deaths[]

  • Inspiration (1931) [Laine Latour]: Commits suicide (though I don't know the details).
  • Mata Hari (1931) [Charlotta]: Shot to death off-screen by Michael Visaroff. We hear the shot from the other room, her body is shown afterwards when Greta Garbo goes out into the hall and sees two agents carrying her body away.
  • Are You Listening? (1932) [Alice Grimes]: Accidentally killed by William Haines, when his character pushes her away from him and her head hits the corner of a dresser.
  • The Phantom of Crestwood (1932) [Jenny Wren]: Stabbed by dart thrown by Pauline Frederick outside her bedroom; her murder is shown in flashback during a monologue by Ivan Simpson.
