- Starman (1984) [Jenny Hayden]: Shot to death by police while she and Jeff Bridges are trying to escape; she is later brought back to life by Jeff's alien technology.
- Backfire (1987) [Mara McAndrew]: Killed by the backfire/explosion when she tries to shoot Jeff Fahey, not knowing that the gun barrel had been plugged by Keith Carradine. The scene ends with the explosion.
- Falling Sky (1998) [Resse Nicholson]: Commits suicide (off-screen) by slitting her wrists in the bathtub; her body is shown afterwards when her daughter (Brittany Murphy) discovers her.
TV Deaths[]
- Alfred Hitchcock Presents: The Creeper (1986) [Jackie Foster]: Strangled to death by the Creeper (Sam Vlahos).
- Challenger (1990 TV)' ['Christa McAuliffe']: Killed (off-screen) in the explosion of the Space Shuttle Challenger; the movie ends with the shuttle taking off, followed by a symbolic scene of the seven crew members & passengers reciting the poem used to eulogize them. (Thanks to Andy)

- Ripper (1996) [Dr. Clare Burton]: Hit with an orb thrown by Scott Cohen in a virtual city if Karen is revealed to be the killer. (She survives the game in the scenarios where she is not the killer.)
