- Behind the Mask (1946) [Edith "Edie" Merrill]: Dies of heart failure when Robert Shayne, masquerading as Kane Richmond's alter-ego injects an air bubble into her blood stream with a hypodermic needle. June gets onto an elevator and as the door is closing, Robert grabs her and kills her off-screen. The scene cuts to Kane Richmond, Barbara Read, George Chandler, and Dorothea Kent arguing, only for them to discover June's body when the elevator door opens.
