- Steel Magnolias (1989) [Shelby Eatenton Latcherie]: Goes into a diabetic coma and later dies after being taken off the respirator. After the respirator is disconnected, the camera pans over to the monitor as she gradually flat lines, followed by a close-up of Julia's dead hand being held by Sally Field.
- Flatliners (1990) [Dr. Rachel Mannus]: Is briefly clinically dead at several points during the movie, though she is resuscitated and survives the end of the movie. (Thanks to PortsGuy, Keenan, and Dave)
- Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2002) [Patricia Watson]: Poisoned when Sam Rockwell switches their glasses so she drinks the poison she intended for him.
