Burke's Law: Who Killed the Movie Mogul? (1995) [Leo / Max Barnett]: Playing a dual role as twin brothers, "Max" is stabbed in the ear (off-camera) with an ice pick by "Leo". His body is shown when the film crew discover him. (Originally, we are meant to believe it was "Leo", for the two have been posing as each other, until later) "Leo" survives.
Superman: The Animated Series: Apokolips...Now!: Part 2 (1997; animated) [Dan Turpin]: Disintegrated by Darkseid;s (Michael Ironside) Omega Beams, in order to anger Superman (Tim Daly). A funeral is then held for him.
