Film Deaths[]
- Still of the Night (1982) [George Bynum]: Stabbed to death, off-screen by Sara Botsford in his car; his body is shown falling out of the car afterwards.
- Target (1985) [Barney Taber]: Killed in an explosion (along with Herbert Berghof) while being tied to a chair.
- D.A.R.Y.L. (1985) [Dr. Stewart]: Shot by a state trooper while driving through a police road block with Barret Oliver; he dies afterwards while talking to Barret.
TV Deaths[]
- Mourning Becomes Electra (1978 miniseries) [Ezra Manning]: Poisoned by his wife (Joan Hackett); he dies shortly afterwards while talking to his daughter (Roberta Maxwell). (I haven’t seen this version, but I’ve seen Raymond Massey’s death in the 1947 version.)
- Agatha Christie’s Sparkling Cyanide (1983 TV) [George Barton]: Poisoned at a dinner party when he drinks champagne that Pamela Bellwood had laced with cyanide.
- Brotherly Love (1985 TV) [Mr. Rafferty]: Shot in the chest with an arrow by Judd Hirsch in the woods, after Josef shoots at Judd.
- Great Performances: Hamlet (1990) [Polonius]: Stabbed to death by Kevin Kline, who had mistaken him for Brian Murray.
- Early Edition: The Wall: Part 2 (TV Series; 1997) [Secret Agent John Dobbs/J.T. Marley]: Shot to death in the back by Ron Dean. And saving the President of the United States for being assassinated. Framing Gary Hobson as a newspaper hero.
