TV Deaths[]

  • One Step Beyond: Gypsy (1960) [Gypsy]: Shot in the back by a prison guard while trying to escape. At first, we are led to believe that he makes it across the gate and dies while talking to Robert Blake, but it is later revealed that he died during the escape attempt and that the Johnny Robert was talking to was a ghost.
  • Gunsmoke: Nina's Revenge (1961) [Harry Blucher]: Shot in the chest in a shoot-out with James Arness.
  • Murder, She Wrote: Broadway Malady (1985) [Manny Farkus a.k.a. Morley Farmer]: Shot in the chest by Gregg Henry, after Johnny (non-fatally) shoots Lorna Luft in a "mugging" (which was actually an unsuccessful murder-for-hire that Gregg had arranged himself). His body is shown again later on in morgue photos that Angela Lansbury studies at the police station.
