- The Protector (1985) [Ko's Pilot]: Killed in a helicopter explosion along with Roy Chiao when Jackie Chan uses cargo lifter crane to crush their aircraft.
- Albino Alligator (1996) [Jack]: Bludgeoned to death with a shotgun butt by William Fichtner; we later see his body being carried out in a stretcher.
- Cold Around the Heart (1997) [Uncle Mike]: Shot dead off-screen by David Caruso after he catches John trying to rape Stacey Dash (we hear a gunshot followed by a shot of his body).
- Cop Land (1997) [Leo Crasky]: Shot in the chest by Ray Liotta, as John is about to shoot Sylvester Stallone.

- The West Wing: Election Day (2006) [Leo McGarry]: Dies of a heart attack (off-screen). (John did not actually appear in this episode; the character's death was written into the series after John's real-life death.)
