- Air Force (1943) [Capt. Michael Aloysius "Irish" Quincannon, Sr., Pilot]: Shot to death by a Japanese plane as he tries to land his airplane. He dies at a makeshift hospital with his crew right beside his bedside.
- The Big Sleep (1946) [Eddie Mars]: Accidentally Shot to death by his own men (off camera), when Humphrey Bogart forces him outside, we hear the shots and see him fall dead to the floor.
- The Last Outpost (Cavalry Charge) (1951) [Sam McQuade]: Killed (off-screen) along with two of his traders by Apaches led by Geronimo (John War Eagle). We learn of their deaths when Ronald Reagan and his men find their bodies and their burning wagons.
