- Flash Gordon (1980) [Airplane Pilot]: Killed, along with Burnell Tucker by supernatual forces, while flying the plane. Sam Jones goes into the cockpit and finds it empty.
- Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back (1980) [Dak Ralter]: Killed when his section of the Snowspeeder is struck during a laser barrage from one of the AT-AT walkers; his body is shown when Mark Hamill tries to communicate with him during the battle. Right after the Snowspeeder is finally shot down; his body is shown one last time when Hamill tries an unsuccessful attempt to retrieve him from the Snowspeeder’s wreck right before it gets crushed under the foot of a walker.
- Superman II (1980) [Nate]: Killed when Jack O'Halloran destroys his Lunar Module craft.
