Film Deaths[]

  • Edward II (1991) [Spencer]: Strangled by Nigel Terry in John's cell.
  • Alien Hunter (2003) [Dr Michael Straub]: Suffocated and vaporized in the alien energy/frce field. (Thanks to Brian)
  • The Tournament (2009) [Gene Walker]: Shot in the head with a shotgun by Ving Rhames at the end of a shoot-out in a warehouse.
  • Night Wolf (2010) [McRae]: Attacked and killed by a werewolf.
  • Pilgrimage (2017) [The Herbalist - Brother Ciaran]: Disemboweled by Richard Armitage as he tries to get answers out of him; while Tom Holland and Jon Bernthal look on helplessly.
  • The Watchers (2024) [Professor Rory Kilmartin]: Shot off-screen, it's ambiguous whether he shot himself (as he intended) or Olwen Fouéré shot him, as he's recording a video message declaring his intent for suicide at the time and the camera doesn't follow him up the ladder, we only hear the gun shots that he intended for himself and Olwen.

Television Deaths[]

  • Bleak House (2005; miniseries) [Captain Hawdon/Nemo]: Dies of an opium overdose offscreen. His body is seen later on in his room when Charles Dance discovers him lying dead on his bed. His funeral is then played out in the next episode.
  • Merlin: The Last Dragonlord (2009) [Balinor]: Run through with a sword as he protects his son Colin Morgan when they are attacked by Jonny Coyne 's soldiers. He dies in Colin’s arms soon after. (Thanks to Brian)
  • The Terror: The C, the C, the Open C (2018) [John Bridgens]: Commits suicide (off-screen) by wandering away from camp and laying down in the cold waiting to die. He did this because he couldn't go on after Henry Peglar (Kevin Guthrie) died.
