- Battle Cry (1955) [Pvt. Marion Hodgkiss]: Killed (offscreen) in combat with Japanese. We only hear James Whitmore saying that Marion and several others of Van Heflin men were killed on Tarwa fallowed by him on a stretcher holding hands with Perry Lopez before the scene cut.
TV Deaths[]
- Alfred Hitchcock Presents: Victim Four (1962) [Ralph Morrow]: Stabbed multiple times offscreen by the mentally unstable Peggy Ann Garner who had already killed 3 other people in the belief they were stalking her and were actually John. (Thanks to Brian)
- The Time Tunnel: The Alamo (1966) [Capt. Reynerson]: Killed by shrapnel from Mexican artillery during the final battle; his body is shown when his wife (Elizabeth Rogers) finds him. (Historical Note: The real-life Alamo defender John portrayed was named Capt. Almeron Dickinson).
