- From Russia with Love (1963) [Fake James Bond]: Garroted by Robert Shaw in a training exercise in preparation for his planned assassination of the real James Bond. (he's played by Sean Connery until Robert removes the mask revealing it to be John).
- Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope (1977) [Ryle Torsyn]: Y-Wing shot down off-screen by either Death Star Turrets or TIE-Fighters. (His death isn't at all shown, but it's implied that most other rebel pilots died).
