Film Deaths[]
- The Black Cauldron (1985, animated) [Gurgi/Doli]: Playing a dual role, "Gurgi" sacrificed himself by jumping into the cauldron causing an explosion. He was later brought back to life by the three witches upon Grant Bardsley's request. ("Doli" survives the movie)
TV Deaths[]
- The Flip Wilson Show: Episode 1.11 (1970) [Himself/Lord Metabolism/Various Characters]: In a Sherlock Holmes parody sketch, "Lord Metabolism" is poisoned when Connie Stevens kisses him after applying poisoned lipstick (on top of numerous unsuccessful attempts at killing him). Despite being dead, John breaks into giggles when Flip Wilson examines the body. (Played for comic effect.)
- Friday the 13th: The Series: Read My Lips (1988) [Travis Plunkett]: Stabbed in the back by the ventriloquist dummy (Ed Gale/Danny Mann), after John fails to kill Linda Griffiths.
