- Doctor Who: The Power of Kroll part 4 (1979) [Ranquin]: Dragged to his death by a giant monster.
- Red Dwarf: Better Than Life (1988) [Rimmer's Dad]: Dies (off-screen) of natural causes; we only see his son Chris Barrie react to the news.
- Detonator (Death Train) (1993) [Dr Karl Leitzig]: Succumbs to radiation poisoning in his hospital bed shortly after helping Clarke Peters, Patrick Stewart, and Pierce Brosnan (the latter two via phone relay) disarm a nuclear bomb, having been irradiated by a rupturing neutron gun while building a second nuclear bomb for Christopher Lee at the start of the film.
