Film Deaths:

• Shining Through (1992) [Margrete von Eberstein]: Shot in the throat when her gun goes off during a struggle with Melanie Griffith.

• Under Heaven (1998) [Eleanor]: Dies of cancer in Aden Young's arms in the garden.

• Return to Me (2000) [Dr. Elizabeth Rueland]: Fatally injured in an off-screen car accident; she is seen being wheeled into the emergency room, but her actual death is also off-screen. We are only informed of her death afterwards, and her body is not shown.

• The Affair of the Necklace (2001) [Marie Antoinette]: Executed by the guillotine; as the blades comes down, the scene cuts away to a scene of Joely in earlier times.

• In Darkness (2018) [Alex]: Shot once in the chest by a hitman as she sits in the backseat of a car. The scene then cuts to an exterior view of the car and we hear two more shots.
• Color Out of Space (2019) [Theresa Gardner]: Shot in the head by Nicolas Cage as a mercy killing after Joely morphs with Julian Hillard and tries to kill Madeleine Arthur.

Television Deaths:

• Lies My Mother Told Me (2005 TV) [Laren Sims]: Commits suicide by hanging herself in her jail cell after surrendering to the police and being arrested. Her death is confirmed when the scene cuts away to her daughter (Hayden Panettiere) awakening from a nightmare of her death and her body is shown in the morgue when Hayden identifies her.
