- The River Thief (2016) [Diz]: Shot to death by Paul Johansson along with Tommy Cash as payback for Joel stealing Paul's money.
- Assimilate (2019) [Zach Henderson]: Playing the dual roles of both the protagonist and his alien clone, the clone suffocates, alongside Andi Matichak's clone when Joel's character activates a CO2-based fire suppression system and locks them in a small room. (The protagonist Zach survives the film.)
- Sick (2023) [Tyler Murphy]: Throat sliced with a hunting knife by Marc Menchaca.

- Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Paradise Lost (2016) [Nathaniel Malick]: Killed (off-screen) by the Hive parasite, several decades before the story begins, after he is forced to go to its planet as a result of his brother (Cameron Palatas) rigging the drawing so he is selected; this is shown in a flashback Cameron's older self (Powers Boothe) is having, and his death his confirmed when Hive's current host (Brett Dalton) is shown to retain his memories.
