Film Deaths[]

  • The Big Heat (1953) [Katie Bannion]: Killed in an explosion (off-camera) when she starts the car and sets off a bomb intended for Glenn Ford. We hear the explosion from inside, then her body is shown when Glenn rushes out and pulls her out of the car.

Television Deaths[]

  • Thriller: 'Til Death Do Us Part (1962) [Myrtle Hooper]: Poisoned to death off-screen by her husband Philip Ober. Her body is never shown.
  • Dark Night of the Scarecow (1981; TV Movie) [Mrs. Ritter]: Accidentally strangled when Charles Durning breaks into her house and then chokeholds her from behind. He then blows up the house, with her in it, to cover his tracks.
  • Darkroom: Catnip (1981) [Mrs. Mingle]: Killed in an explosion when she accidentally sets off a bomb that Cyril O'Reilly had rigged to her cat door, in an attempt to kill her cat. Later on, Cyril looks under his bed for her cat and discovers her disembodied head hissing at him, before it turns back into the cat and attacks him.
  • Starflight: The Plane That Couldn't Land (1983) [Mrs. Harvey]: Killed in an explosion, along with four other passengers (unclear most of actors), when electric sparks ignite the 'air' in the tunnel they are going through from their hovering plane to the shuttle.
