Film Deaths[]
- Richard III (1995) [Lord William Hastings]: Executed by hanging on Ian McKellen's orders.
- The Little Vampire (2000) [Rookery]: Falls to his death after being pushed off a cliff by Tommy Hinkley.
- Out of Season (2004) [Michael Phillips]: Stabbed in the neck (off-camera) by his wife (Gina Gershon) while Jordan Freida in in the bathroom, after Jordan had tied Jim up during a robbery. He is seen mortally wounded when Jordan comes out of the bathroom and unties him in an attempt to help; Jim then manages to shoot Gina in turn before Jordan flees the scene. He dies shortly afterwards, after David Murray arrives and discovers them.

- The Singing Detective (1986 TV mini-series) [Mr. Marlow]: Dies (off-screen) under unspecified circumstances, at some point during the passage of time between the flashback scenes of his son's (Lyndon Davies') childhood and the present-day scenes of his son (Michael Gambon) as an adult.
- Stalin (1992) [Sergo Ordzhonikidze]: Commits suicide (off-screen) by shooting himself, the gunshot is heard as Robert Duvall is walking down the stairs right after talking with him.
- Pompeii: The Last Day (2003) [Polybius]: Suffocates along with Chrissie Cotterill when a pyroclastic surge from Mount Vesuvius destroys Pompeii.
- Blue Murder: Up in Smoke (2004) [Frank Evans]: Strangled (off-screen) with a noose by Lee Ingleby; his body is shown afterwards lying in another person's coffin in the funeral home when Caroline Quentin and Nicholas Murchie have the coffin opened.
- Knightfall: The Devil Inside (2019) [Pope Boniface VIII]: Strangled by Julian Ovenden, in revenge for Jim having burned his parents at the stake when Julian was a boy.
