Film Deaths[]

  • Exodus (1960) [Karen]: Shot to death (off-screen) in a battle between Israeli and Palestinian fighters; her body is shown afterwards when Sal Mineo discovers her. Her body is later buried (completely wrapped in a shroud) beside John Derek's body.
  • In Harm's Way (1965) [Ensign Annalee Dorne, RN]: Commits suicide (off-screen) by taking an overdose of sleeping pills. Her body is shown afterwards when Patricia Neal discovers her in the nurses' quarters.

Television Deaths[]

  • 12 O'Clock High: The Sound of Distant Thunder (1964) [Mary Lean]: Killed along with her father (Hedley Mattingly) and several others during an air-raid on London when a German air craft crashes into the pub they owned. Her body is shown when Peter Fonda rushes in to check on her only moments after accepting his proposal of marriage.
  • Home for the Holidays (Deadly Desires) (1972 TV; movie) [Joanna Morgan]: Fatally stabbed in the back with a pitchfork by her elder sister (Eleanor Parker) in the barn on Walter Brennan's estate as she was attempting to drive through the storm for the police. Her face and hand are shown later when her younger sister (Sally Field) finds her partially buried in the mud behind the barn.
