- Le jour se lève (1939) [François]: Commits suicide (off-screen) by shooting himself in the heart while the police is trying to throw tear gas into Jean's room in an attempt to subdue him at the end of movie.
- L'Imposteur (1944) [Clément]: Shot to death during a battle with Africa soliders, he dies after throw a grenade at them.

- Speaking of Murder (Le rouge est mis) (1957) [Louis Bertain] Shot by Lino Ventura who he also happens to kill.
- Les Misérables (1958) [Jean Valjean]: Dies from illness in his bed with Béatrice Altarida and Giani Esposito by his side towards the end of movie.
- Le Chat (1971) [Julien Bouin]: Takes a handfull of sleeping pills. He dies when he arrives at the hospital.
