- After Dark, My Sweet (1990) [Kevin 'Kid' Collins]: Shot to death by Rachel Ward.
- Rush (1991) [Jim Raynor]: Bleeds to death after being shot in the femoral artery with a shotgun by an assassin (implied to be Gregg Allman). He dies as Jennifer Jason Leigh and Sam Elliott try to save him.
- The Alamo (2004) [James Bowie]: Stabbed to death by Mexican soldiers in bed during the battle of the Alamo.
- Keyhole (2011) [Ulysses Pick]: Executed (off-screen) in the electric chair, some time before the story begins; he appears as a ghost throughout the movie, but it isn't revealed that he's a ghost until Daniel Enright attempts to kill him with a home-made electric chair, to no effect.
- The Abandoned (2015) [Cooper]: Drowns (off-screen) in a pool of water when the ghost children pull him under, after he is successfully able to drag his daughter (Louisa Krause) out of the water. This turns out to be a dream Louisa is having; he survives the film in reality.
- Big Kill (2019) [The Preacher]: Shot with a shotgun (off-camera) by Christoph Sanders, after being shot in the leg in a showdown with him.
