The scene cuts away to the street outside after he grabs the knife; her body is shown afterwards when the camera pans up to the window. (the above publicity still used on the video box cover is a clearer image than actually appears in the film itself.) (see also Joan Bennett in the 1945 US remake Scarlet Street).
