Film Deaths[]
- If Winter Comes (1947) [Effie Bright]: Commits suicide by taking poison; we learn of her death afterwards when Walter Pidgeon is informed.
- Psycho (1960) [Marion Crane]: Stabbed to death by Anthony Perkins (or rather his stand-in) while taking a shower. (See also Anne Heche's death in the 1998 remake.)
Television Deaths[]
- The Man from UNCLE: The Concrete Overcoat Affair (1966) [Miss Diketon]: Shot to death in a fight with Jack Palance's men, after she betrays Jack to prevent a missile launch.
- Columbo: Forgotten Lady (1975) [Grace Wheeler]: While Janet does survive to the end of the episode, Peter Falk tells John Payne that Janet is suffering from a brain aneurysm that is affecting her mind and her time is short. John confesses to the murder of Sam Jaffe (which Janet actually committed but has now forgotten) in order to give her the time needed to die peacefully.
