James Rebhorn (1948 - 2014)
Film Deaths
- He Knows You're Alone (Blood Wedding) (1980) [Professor Carl Mason]: Stabbed repeatedly by Tom Rolfing in James' bedroom, after James discovers Patsy Pease's body. We only see a close-up of Tom during the stabbing.

- My Fellow Americans (1996) [Charlie Reynolds]: Shot in the head/throat by an assassin (presumably Everett McGill) in a drive by shooting. His body is later seen when James Garner and Jack Lemmon return to his car and discover him dead.
- Scotland, Pa. (2001) [Norm Duncan]: Burned to death when he falls face-first into a deep-fat fryer after James LeGros hits him.
- The Adventures of Pluto Nash (2002) [Belcher]: Killed in a fight with Eddie Murphy after James discovers he is not the clone.
- Don McKay (Moment of Truth) (2009) [Dr. Lance Pryce]: Stabbed in the throat with a broken bottle by Thomas Haden Church while James is trying to strangle Thomas.
TV Deaths
- As the World Turns (February 1991) [Henry Lange]: Commits suicide by shooting himself.
- Homeland: Krieg Nicht Lieb (2014) [Frank Mathison]: Dies (off-screen) in his sleep from a stroke. (This episode was made after James' real-life death in 2014.)
