Video Game Deaths[]
- SOMA (2015) [Shawn Evans/Jasper Hill]: Playing a dual role, both of James' characters die at least a year prior to the events of the game. "Shawn Evans" is forcibly injected with structure gel during Brian Protheroe 's attack on the diver team, and ultimately dies of his injuries while talking with Jane Perry . "Jasper Hill" dies of starvation with Andrea Deck standing by his bedside. In both cases, their deaths are not discovered until Jared Zeus discovers their bodies and the audio recordings of their final moments.
- Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age (2018) [Mordegon/Morcant]: Playing a dual role. Mordegon is killed in the climax of act 2 and at the beginning of act 3 (after the player travels back in time to prevent his rise in the second act). Morcant passes on following Mordegon's final defeat (as Mordegon represented his evil-side while Morcant was his good-side, Morcant must also pass).
