- Dead & Buried (1981) [Sheriff Dan Gillis]: Stabbed repeatedly in the back by his zombie wife (Melody Anderson), while they're making love, some time before the story begins. He is then reanimated (again, before the story begins) by Jack Albertson, though he is unaware that he's a zombie until he watches a film showing the murder.
TV Deaths[]
- Sins (1986; TV Miniseries) [David Westfield]: Killed in the Vietnam War.
- Honor Thy Father and Mother: The True Story of the Menendez Murders (1994; TV film) [Jose Menendez]: Shot to death, along with Jill Clayburgh, by their sons (Billy Warlock and David Berón) (I haven't seen this myself, but I'm familar with the real-life case).
