- Free State of Jones (2016) [Daniel]: Mortally wounded in the chest by a Union sharpshooter as he was leaving his trench with a squad of Confederate soldiers. He dies after being carried back to a field hospital by Matthew McConaughey where he was denied treatment because of the wounded officer's were being treated first.
