- Soldier in the Rain (1963) [Master Sergeant Maxwell Slaughter]: Suffers a heart attack during a fight with Lew Gallo and Ed Nelson in a bar; he dies (off-screen) in the hospital some time afterwards. We last see him when Steve McQueen visits him in the hospital; his death is revealed in the following scene in a conversation between Steve and Tony Bill.
