Hotel Artemis (2018)
Directed by Drew Pearce
As rioting rocks Los Angeles in the year 2028, disgruntled sibling thieves (Sterling K. Brown and Brian Tyree Henry) make their way to Hotel Artemis -- a 13-story, members-only hospital for criminals. It's operated by Jean Thomas known to those in the outside world as simply the Nurse (Jodie Foster), a no-nonsense, high-tech healer who along with her bodyguard and trauma medic Everest (Dave Bautista) already has their hands full with a French assassin (Sofia Boutella), an arms dealer (Charlie Day) and an injured cop (Jenny Slate). As the violence of the night continues, the Nurse must decide whether to break her own rules and confront what she's worked so hard to avoid, because disturbingly, a new crime figurehead client shows up codenamed Niagara (Jeff Goldblum) with his personal hit squad. Not only seeking treatment but to recover some of his stolen property, one of the patients looted from his couriers, and he is the last person our Nurse wants to see.
