  • Pitfall (Otoshiana) (1962) [Miner]: Stabbed to death by Kunie Tanaka.
  • Three Outlaw Samurai (Sanbiki no samurai) (1964) [Villager]: Stabbed to death.
  • Cash Calls Hell (Gohiki no shinsh) (1966) [Worker]: Beaten to death
  • Zatoichi's Pilgrimage (Zatôichi umi o wataru) (1966) [Eigoro]: Stabbed to death underwater by Shintarô Katsu.
  • Goyokin (1969) [Takeuchi Shinjiro]: Stabbed in the stomach by Tatsuya Nakadai after he tries to stab Tatsuya in the back.
  • Tora! Tora! Tora! (1970) [Pilot] Plane is shot down after bombing a ship.  
  • Ran (Revolt) (1985) [Shuri Kurogane]: While still alive at the end of the film, his fate is sealed as the castle he is in on fire and surrounded by hundreds of soldiers.
  • Dreams (Yume) (1990) [Nuclear Plant Worker]: Jumps off a cliff rather than allow the radiation to reach him, which would result in a slower death. 
  • 47 Ronin (Shijûshichinin no shikaku) (1992) [Magodayû Okuda]: While still alive at the end of the film he knows his actions will result in his death. Plus this is based on reality the character he was portraying eventually was forced to commit suicide via seppeku.
