Film Deaths[]

  • Four Days of Snow and Blood (226) (1989) [Kiyosada Koda]: Executed off-screen by firing squad which we are initially informed by the narrator. We then simply see a flashback of him, followed by his narration that he's going to die, followed by the sound of a gunshot.
  • The Man in White (Yurusarezaru mono) (2003) [Kitabatake]: Shot in the chest by Masaya Katô.
  • Yazkua Demon (Kikoku) (2003) [The Don]: Shot by Riki Takeuchi in his car.
  • Izo (2004) [Samurai]: Cut open with a sword by Kazuya Nakayama.
  • Yamato (Otoko-tachi no Yamato) (2005) [Nobue Morishita]: Dies (off-screen) between the 1945 to the present day in 2005 (February 2nd, 1960 to be precise). His death is not mentioned in the dialogue, but is a matter of historic record.
  • Over Your Dead Boyd (2014) [The Lord/Actor] Hiroshi dies in the play within the film when Ebizô Ichikawa stabs him multiple times. He survives in "reality".
