- Brass Target (1978) [Kasten]: Falls to his death in the church (smashing through glass at the end) while trying to kill John Cassavetes during a fight (on top of previously been shot in the back by him).
- The Tin Drum (Die Blechtrommel) (1979) [Greff]: Hanged (off-screen); it's ambiguous whether he committed suicide or was hanged by Nazi soldiers. His body is shown afterwards when David Bennent discovers him hanging in the basement.
- Possession (1981) [Heinrich]: Drowned in a public-restroom toilet bowl by Sam Neill, after Sam knocks Heinz unconscious with the toilet-tank lid.
