- The Thin Man (1934) [Arthur Nunheim]: Shot in the back by Porter Hall from inside the doorway.
- Beau Geste (1939) [Legionnaire Voisin]: Shot to death in a battle with the Arab soldiers.
- Lady from Chungking (1942) [General Kaimura]: Shot in the stomach by Anna May Wong; he dies shortly afterwards , ordering her execution and shooting his lieutenant (Ted Hecht) to join him in death.
