The Alamo (1960) [Parson]: Blown up in an explosion on the wall and crushed by falling debris during the "first wave" of Mexican soldiers in a skirmish before the final battle. Tom Hennesy carries his body out and (in the director's cut only) he thanks John Wayne and his fellow Tennesseans for bringing him along to see more of the Texas country before dying.
