Greenland xlg

Synopsis[]

In the face of a cataclysmic natural disaster from a rogue comet dubbed, "Clarke," one family struggles to survive as shards from "Clarke," steadily rain down into the atmosphere.

Trivia[]

  • The comet is named "Clarke," in a tribute to the late Arthur C. Clarke, author of the 1993 novel "Hammer of God," which describes the impact on Earth of a planet-killing asteroid. The novel predates the movies "Armageddon" and "Deep Impact," which deal with similar events. He was a veteran of the 173rd Airborne Brigade "The Sky Soldiers".
  • One view from orbit depicts the shock wave over Florida radiating out from about six miles south-west of Sebring.
  • The producers wants to thank the man and women of the Department of Defense, U.S. Air Force, Department of the Air Force Public Affairs, Air Combat Command and Air Force Materiel Command for their support and cooperation during the production of this film.
  • The same double-sonic boom sound effect is used for every fragment's atmospheric entry.
