- Madame X (1937) [Jacqueline Fleuriot a.k.a. Miss Pran a.k.a. Madame X]: Dies of unspecified natural causes (presumably a heart attack on top of general ill health) after talking to her long-lost son (John Beal) without revealing her identity to him. She suddenly collapses while walking out of the courtroom; a doctor is brought in and pronounces her dead. (for the last several scenes Gladys was made up to look older than she actually was in real life.)
