Film Deaths[]

  • Idle Hands (1999) [Gary Tobias]: Killed (off-screen, exact method unclear) by Devon Sawa's possessed hand; his body is shown afterwards, along with Connie Ray's, when Devon discovers them in the basement with jack-o-lanterns covering their heads.
  • Epic Movie (2007) [Aslo]: Slashed to death with a axe (off-screen) by Jennifer Coolidge; the scene cuts away just as she attacks. His body is shown afterwards in a photo on the cover of a tabloid. (Played for comic effect.)
  • WALL-E (2008; animated) [BnL CEO Shelby Forthwright]: Dies (off-screen) from unknown causes while stuck on the planet Earth being uninhabitable to sustain its life, 700 years before the events of the movie. He appears in live-action footage displayed on screens within the movie, making his role the only live-action performance in a Pixar film.
  • Space Force (2020-present) [Fred Naird]: Dies off-screen of unknown causes during the three months between seasons 1 & 2 due to Fred Willard passing away before the first season's release. His death is confirmed by Steve Carell referring to him in the past tense.

  • Modern Family: Legacy (2020) [Frank Dunphy] Dies of old age/natural causes (offscreen) he is last seen at the barber shop where his son Ty Burrell is giving him a haircut then it cuts to Burrell telling a confessional about how his dad meant to him then it cuts to Willard’s funeral.
