Plot[edit | edit source]
For bullied, tormented high school outsider Millie Kessler (Kathryn Newton), current problems for her seem trivial when she is target by aging serial killer Barney Garris; the Blissfield Butcher (Vince Vaughn), who has the power to switch souls with potential victims. Desperate to avoid detection, Barney inadvertently body swaps with Millie thanks to the cursed ceremony dagger, leaving her to be pursued by law enforcement, while he sets his sights on framing her for murdering several of her classmates in the upcoming homecoming. Now she has only twenty fours to prevent the change from being permanent or even far worse, him being able to move onto a new host victim.
