Film Deaths[]

  • King Kong (1976) [Giant Boa]: Getting its jaw snapped apart by Kong (Peter Cullen).
  • Prophecy (1979) [Katahdin]: Stabbed by Robert Foxworth.
  • Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) [Monkey]: Dies of poisoning after eating contaminated dates an assassin left for Harrison Ford.
  • Cujo (1983) [Cujo]: Shot to death by Dee Wallace on top of being stabbed with a broken baseball bat.
  • Gremlins (1984) [Stripe]: Melts (along with all his eggs) after being exposed to sunlight when Gizmo (voice of Howie Mandel) pulls down the window blinds.
  • Jealousy (1984) [Melody]: Playing the voice of a parrot, she freezes to death after accidentally being locked in a freezer while being chased by Angie Dickinson.
  • Cat's Eye (1985) [General/Troll]: "Troll" is shredded by a fan after General turns a record player he's hanging onto to super speed. "General" survives the movie.
  • The Great Mouse Detective (1986; animated) [Toby/Felicia]: "Felicia" is presumably mauled to death by royal guard dogs after being chased by Toby over a fence. "Toby" survives the movie.
  • The Golden Child (1986) [The Thing]: Explodes after being stabbed with a mystic dagger by Eddie Murphy (after Eddie's Tibetan talisman repels his attacks).
  • The Transformers: The Movie (1986; animated) [Megatron/Skywarp/Soundwave/Rumble/Frenzy/Wheelie]: "Megatron" ceases to be, personality wise, when he is reformatted into Galvatron (Leonard Nimoy) by Unicron (Orson Welles) after being jettisoned into space by Starscream (Chris Latta) along with several other mortally damaged Decepticons. Although not voiced in the movie, "Skywarp", also voiced by Frank Welker in the TV series, ceases to be, personality wise, when he is reformatted in the same situation as "Megatron". "Soundwave", "Rumble", "Frenzy" and "Wheelie" survive the movie. Although they didn't appear in the movie, in two unused Storyboard scenes, "Mirage" is blasted by Megatron and "TrailBreaker" was seen lying dead when the Decepticons retreated.
  • Troll (1986) [Torok/Guardian Beast]: The Guardian Beast is stabbed in the chest with an enchanted spear by Torok after trying to attack Jenny Beck causing it to explode. 'Torok' survives.
  • House II: The Second Story (1987) [Slim Razor/Bippy]: "Slim's" head explodes after being shot multiple times by Ayre Gross. "Bippy" survives the movie.
  • Munchies (1987) [Arnold/Munchies]: Arnold and the rest of the munchies turn to stone after being electrocuted, they are then smashed by Charlie Stratton and Nadine Van der Velde.
  • The Land Before Time (1988; animated) [Sharptooth]: "Sharptooth" either drowns in the lake or is injured hard from the rock after Littlefoot (Gabriel Damon) with Spike and Cera (Candy Huston) pushed a rock on him. (Note: numerous other "Sharptooth" dinosaurs were used in the straight-to-video sequels, but they were different ones.)
  • Monkey Shines (1988) [Ella]: Neck snapped by Jason Beghe, who bites her first.
  • Honey I Shrunk the Kids (1989) [Quark/Antie/The Scorpion]: Antie is stung to death by a scorpion protecting Amy O'Neill, Robert Oliveri, Jared Rushton, and Thomas Wilson Brown. Quark and the scorpion survive.
  • The Prince And The Pauper (1990; animated short) [The King/Archbishop]: "The King" dies of an unspecified illness with Mickey (Wayne Allwine) by his side. "Archbishop" survives the movie.
  • Gremlins 2: The New Batch (1990) [Mohawk]: Burned to death by Gizmo (voiced by Howie Mandel) who shoots him with a burning home made arrow.
  • Graveyard Shift (1990) [Giant Mutant Bat]: Ground up in a cotton picker machine after getting its tail caught in the gears when David Andrews turns it on by firing a soda can with a slingshot at the start button.
  • Hudson Hawk (1991) [Bunny The Dog]: Knocked out a window down a cliff into a moat when Bruce Willis shoots him in the mouth with a tennis ball launcher.
  • Aladdin (1992; animated) [Abu/Raja/Cave of Wonders]: Voicing these three characters, "Cave" collapses into dust, trapping Aladdin (Scott Weinger) and his pet monkey, "Abu". (Both "Abu" and "Raja" survive the film.)
  • Dollman Vs The Demonic Toys (1993) [Baby Oopsie Daisy]: Shot to death by Tim Thomerson.
  • Man's Best Friend (1993) [Max/Boo/Ed]: Boo and Ed are eaten by Max on two separate occasions, Max dies after being shot by Lance Henriksen.
  • Mortal Kombat (1995) [Reptile/Shao Kahn]: Reptile is trampled to death by Robin Shou. Shao Kahn survives the movie.
  • Species (1995) [Alien Sil]: Head explodes after being shot in the head by Michael Madsen (who then falls back into an inferno).
  • Congo (1995) [Mutant Gorillas]: Some of them are shot to death with assault rifles by Dylan Walsh and Ernie Hudson, several are shot to pieces with a laser gun by Laura Linney, and the remainder are incinerated when a volcano erupts in their lair.
  • The Land Before Time III: The Time of the Great Giving (1995) [Velociraptors]: Some of the Velociraptors are beaten either from rocks or the tail of Kenneth Mars.
  • Balto (1995; animated) [The Bear]: The bear drowns in a frozen lake when the ice breaks under its weight before it can kill Balto the part-wolf/dog (voiced by Kevin Bacon) on the ice.
  • Independence Day (1996) [Aliens]: Most of them die after Jeff Goldblum and Will Smith destroys their ship with a nuclear bomb after infecting their ships with viruses causes them to malfunction and are blown up by Earth's defenses.
  • Mars Attacks! (1996) [Martians]: Most of the Martians die when their heads explode after hearing Slim Whitman's yodeling, others die/suffocate when Jim Brown breaks their helmet, few others are shot by Military men, rest of others are shot by their own ray-guns by Ray J and Brandon Hammond. (Note: Welker only voices the Martian's English translations.)
  • Anaconda (1997) [Anacondas]: The first is shot in the head by Jennifer Lopez, while the second is stabbed in the head with an axe by Ice Cube on top of being set on fire.
  • Hercules (1997; animated) [Hydra]: Probably killed when Hercules (Tate Donovan) smashes a mountain, causing it to be buried with rocks. (note: each hydra head appeared to die after getting decapitated by Hercules, but three more always grew in it's place.
  • Godzilla (1998) [Godzilla/Baby Godzilla]: Blown up by soldiers after they drop bombs in Madison Square Garden where the nest of baby zillas are resting. "Godzilla" is killed by missiles fired by the F-18s after being tangled and trap on the Brooklyn Bridge. However one has survived and the egg hatches as the film ends.
  • The Rugrats Movie (1998; animated) [Scar Snout the Wolf]: Dragged off a bridge by Spike the Dog and falls into a raging river.
  • The Land Before Time VI: The Secret of Saurus Rock (1998; animated) [Allosaurus/Canyon Sharptooth]: Both of the Sharptooth dinosaurs are crushed by falling boulders caused by Grandpa (Kenneth Mars) and Doc (Kris Kristofferson).
  • Tarzan (1999; animated) [Sabor]: Stabbed with a head spear by Tony Goldwyn after he jumps into a pit. Her body is carried by Goldwyn out of the pit.
  • Deep Blue Sea (1999) [Parrot]: Eaten by one of the sharks as it attempts to fly to his owner (LL Cool J).
  • Dinosaur (2000) [Carnotaurus]: "Carnotaurus One" is smashed down by Bruton (Peter Siragusa) but before he died, and "Carnotaurus Two" is pushed out of a cliff by Aladar (D.B. Sweeney).
  • Scooby Doo (2002) [Creatures]: Most of the creatures explode after being exposed to sunlight.
  • Eight Legged Freaks (2002) [Consuela]: Killed in an explosion after David Arquette sets off a charge.
  • Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002) [Balrog]: Blasted off by Gandalf (Ian McKellen) and falls into the snow ground (as a Flashback of The Fellowship of the Ring).
  • Finding Nemo (2003; animated) [Anglerfish]: Gets eaten by a Blenny, After the credits of the film. (Played for comic effect)
  • King Kong (2005) [V-Rex/Venatosaurus/Weta-rex]: "Venatosaurus" is crushed apart by Brontosaurus. "Weta-rex" is killed while it attempting to kill Jack Driscoll (Adrien Brody), "V-Rex #1" is crushed in the head by Kong with a large rock. "V-Rex #2" is crushed in the wall by Kong. and "V-Rex #3" gets its jaw snapped apart by Kong (Andy Serkis).
  • Ice Age: The Meltdown (2006; animated) [Cretaceous / Maelstrom / Piranhas]: Cretaceous and Maelstrom are crushed underneath a rock when they miss an attack on Ray Romano. The Piranhas are killed from either being injured or Suffocated out from the water during a fight with Chris Wedge.
  • Bambi 2 (2006; animated) [Hunter Dogs]: Pushed off a cliff by Bambi (Alexander Gould).
  • Futurama: Bender's Big Score (2007; animated) [Fleb]: Killed in an explosion, alongside Schlump (Maurice LaMarche), when the Planet Express ship fires a Doomsday device at their own ship.
  • The Land Before Time XII: The Great Day of the Flyers (2006; animated) [Spinosaurus]: Gets stuck under two heavy logs and possibly starves to death.
  • Transformers (2007) [Megatron]: Playing the voice of a Transformer, he's killed when he attempting to kill Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen) in the Battle of Mission City and then is about to shove the Allspark into his chest.
  • Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009) [Soundwave/Devastator/Grindor/Ravage/Reedman]: "Grindor" has his head ripped in half by Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen). "Devastator" is shot to pieces with a railgun by the U.S. Army. "Ravage" has his spine ripped out by Bumblebee. "Soundwave" and "Reedman" survive the movie.
  • Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (2009; animated) [Rudy]: Falls into the chasm to his death after Momma T-Rex pushes him out of a cliff and later survives.
  • Alice In Wonderland (2010) [Frog Footman/various voices]: Playing several voices, the "Frog Footman" is decapitated (off screen) after Helena Bonham Carter puts him to death for eating her tarts; we last see him being dragged by her guards while begging for his life, Claiming he has a family with little tadpoles.
  • Shrek Forever After (2010; animated) [Fifi]: Playing the voice of a duck. he explodes after hearing Cameron Diaz's song in power (played for comedic death).
  • Rango (2011; animated) [The Hawk]: Gets crushed to death by the gravel-filled water tower.
  • Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011) [Soundwave/Shockwave/Barricade]: "Shockwave" is killed when his eye is ripped out by Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen). "Soundwave" is decapitated by a laser cannon blast from Bumblebee. "Barricade" survives the movie.
  • Brave (2012; animated) [Mor'du]: Crushed by the great stone while attempting to kill Merida (Kelly Macdonald); he later appears as a spirit and thanks Kelly for freeing his soul before disappearing.
  • Frankenweenie (2012; animated) [Sparky]: Playing the voice of a dog, he's run over by a car; he returns from the dead by Victor (voiced by Charlie Tahan). He dies again after a flaming windmill collapses on him (while fighting with a mutated Mr. Whiskers) and he is brought back to life once again when the townsfolk attach their car batteries to his body.
  • Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part II (2013; animated) [Mayor Stevenson/Frank/Lt. O'Halloran]: Frank is poisoned to death by the Joker's (Michael Emerson) Joker Venom; Mayor Stevenson and Lt. O'Halloran survive the movie.
  • Transformers: The Last Knight (2017) [Megatron/Canopy]: "Canopy" is struck by a missile and dies. "Megatron" falls to his presumed demise after Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen) pushes him off a planet, and later survives the fifth movie.
  • Rampage (2018) [Ralph and Lizzie]: Ralph is killed by Lizzie who cuts his head with a bite. Lizzie is killed by George (Jason Liles), who spears her eye as Dwayne Johnson watch.
  • Aladdin (2019) [Cave of Wonders]: Voicing the "head Cave" that collapses into dust as the original film.

Television Deaths[]

  • The Dogfather: Deviled Yeggs (1974;animated) [Pug/Croaker McClaw/Charlie]: Croaker McClaw loses his first life when he falls to his death while trying to catch Charlie on a flagpole when he stands on a part of a demolished building that collapses, he loses his second life when he falls to his death after his parachute fails to open, he then loses his third through eighth lives when he’s shot in a shooting gallery, he then loses his last life along with Pug (also Welker) and the Dogfather (Bob Holt) when they are hit by a train trying to catch Charlie, their souls are then seen in Hell.
  • The Scooby-Doo Show: The Creepy Heap from the Deep (1977; animated) [Fred/Walter/Captain Clements]: "Captain Clements" gets his soul taken (offscreen) by the Creepy Heap from the Deep (John Stephenson), his soulless body is discovered by Fred (also voiced by Fred), Velma (Pat Stevens), Daphne (Heather North), Shaggy (Casey Kasem, and Scooby-doo (Don Messick), then he comes back to live as a soulless version of himself. However. he pretended to have his soul taken, as he was helping criminals escape for money.
  • The Smurfs: Springtime Special (1982; animated) [Hefty Smurf/Ducky]: Ducky is shot to death by Balthazar (Keene Curtis) while aiming for Papa Smurf (Don Messick), he is later brought back to life by Mother Nature (June Foray); Hefty Smurf survives.
  • The Smurfs: Squeaky (1982; animated) [Hefty Smurf/Squeaky]: Squeaky dies of smoke inhalation after saving Papa Smurf (Don Messick) from a fire; Hefty Smurf survives.
  • Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends: Along Came Spidey (1982; animated) [Iceman/Uncle Ben/Flash Thompson]: "Uncle Ben" was shot offscreen by Burglar, Peter (Dan Gilvezan) learns of his death from a police officer, Uncle Ben only appears in flashbacks.
  • The New Adventures of Jonny Quest: Nightmares of Steel (1986; animated) [Baksheesh]: Falls to his doom along with his robotic horse while trying to jump over a chasm and chasing after Abu Saddi (Lee Tremayne).
  • A Pup Named Scooby-Doo (1988; animated) [Al Cabone/Ghost of Al Cabone/Station Manager]: "Al Cabone" died sometime in the past, but then came back as a ghost, but it turns out it was Prestina (Kath Soucie) pretending to be the Ghost of Al Cabone to get revenge on Davie the Letter Guy (Casey Kasem) for canceling her show. The Station Manager survives the episode.
  • Tiny Toon Adventures: Sawdust and Toonsil (1990; animated) [Gogo Dodo/Silas Wonder]: Silas Wonder falls to his death off a cliff in his train after the bridge to Wacky Land disappears trying to catch Gogo, Buster (Charlie Adler), Babs (Tress MacNeille), and Plucky (Joe Alaskey), he is then seen in Hell.
  • Alvin and the Chipmunk: Daytona Jones and the Pearl of Wisdom (1990; animated) [Roland Bellyache]: Falls to his death after he chooses the wrong pearl activating a trap which causes the floor to crumble underneath him.
  • Jonny's Golden Quest (1993 TV) [Snipe]: Killed by some reanimated replicants under the control of Hadji (Rob Paulsen).
  • Animaniacs: Hot, Bothered, and Bedeviled (1993; animated) [Saddam Hussein/Various]: Saddam Hussein is burned to death after Satan (Ron Perlman) opens up a portal to Hell causing him to fall into a lava pit. (Played for comic effect).
  • Animaniacs: Baghdad Cafe (1993; animated) [Sodarn Hinsane/Various]: Killed in an explosion when Slappy Squirrel (Sherri Stoner) stuffs firecrackers down his pants launching him into the sky and causing him to land on a land mine. (Played for comic effect).
  • Mighty Max: Armageddon Outta Here (1994; animated) [Lava Lord/Warmonger]: Lava Lord falls to his death after Skullmaster (Tim Curry) causes an earthquake. Warmonger is vaporized by an energy blast from Skullmaster's staff.
  • Tiny Toon Adventures: Night Ghoulery (1995; animated) [Furrball/Various]: Furrball is electrocuted to death by his proton pack after Sneezer (Kath Soucie) sneezes the ray back at him, he is then seen as a ghost. The rest of his characters survive. (Played for comic effect)
  • The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest: Ndovu's Last Journey (1996; animated) [Ndovu]: Dies peacefully in the elephant graveyard, he returns as vision along with Masai (Brock Peters).
  • The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest: The Secret of the Moai (1996; animated) [Surd/Primate]: "Primate" perishes along with Alien when Lava from Volcano engulf the Ord and died later on. Their skeletons were later discovered by Jonny Quest (J.D. Roth) and are later being studied.
  • Gargoyles: Future Tense (1996; animated) [Bronx]:Disintegrated into nothingness along with Matt Bluestone (voiced by Tom Wilson) and Claw (non-speaking role) by the robots. Near the end of the episode, it was revealed to be Puck's (voiced by Brent Spiner) illusion; Bronx survives the episode and eventually the entire series.
  • 'Timon & Pumbaa: Unlucky in Lesotho (1995; animated) [Ned]: Eaten by piranhas when he fallen to ravine.
  • Timon & Pumbaa: Sense & Senegambia (1996; animated) [Uncle Ernie]: Playing voice of ghost of uncle of Ernie Sabella.
  • Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm: Skin Deep (1996; animated) [Six-headed Creature]: Destroyed by a fireball from Liu Kang (Brian Tochi).
  • Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm: Swords of Ilkan (1996; animated) [Energy Creature]: Destroyed by Sonya Blade (Olivia d'Abo) with one of the Swords of Ilkan.
  • The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest: Rock of Rages (1996; animated) [Golem/Bandit/Driver]: "Golem" is destroyed when Jonny Quest (voiced by Quinton Flynn) disfigures the symbol on his head using scriv and disables it, then crumbles apart. "the Driver" perished as his helicopter crashes and explodes on Golem. Bandit survives the episode.
  • The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest: Undersea Urgency (1996; animated) [Sea Creatures/Gimeno]: "Gimeno" is devoured and killed the sea creatures. Some of the Sea Creatures are seen getting killed un different ways.
  • The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest: General Winter (1997; animated) [Professor Gunther Ericson/Bandit]: "Professor Gunther Ericson" is shot and killed by General Vostok (vocied by Mark Hamill). Bandit survives the episode.
  • Dexter's Laboratory: Dyno-Might (1998; animated) [Dynomutt X-90/Dynomutt]: Dynomutt X-90 is shut down by Dexter (Christine Cavanaugh) by putting a chip in him. Dynomutt survives the episode.
  • Dexter's Laboratory: Last but not Beast (1998; animated) [Badaxtra]: Destroy by Dexter (Christine Cavanaugh, Dee Dee (Allison Moore), Dexter's Parents (Kath Soucie and Jeff Bennett (II)) by using their Mech with the help of Monkey (also voice by Frank). Monkey survives the episode.
  • Timon & Pumbaa: Ghost Boosters (1999; animated) [Ghost]: Playing voice of ghost that look also as old Mansion owner.
  • Futurama: Xmas Story (1999; animated) [Parrot]: Blown up with a rocket by the Robot Santa Claus (John Goodman). His corpse is later turned into Christmas dinner by Bender (John DiMaggio).
  • Futurama: Anthology of Interest (2000; animated) [Nibbler]: In the anthology "Dial 'L' for Leela", he dies when Leela (Katey Sagal) imaples him with sword, being the last to die alongside Cubert (Kath Soucie) and Scruffy (David Herman).
  • Futurama: Jurassic Bark (2002; animated) [Seymour]: Dies of old age waiting for Fry's (Billy West) return. Bender's Big Score would later establish that he died in an explosion caused by Bender (John DiMaggio) hunting a time-duplication of Fry (who Bender thought was the real Fry), which instantly fossilized Seymour.
  • What's New Scooby-Doo: High-Tech House of Horrors (2003; animated) [Jeevees/Fred Jones/Scooby-Doo]: Voicing a Robot "Jeeves" is destroyed after getting wet when the Bathroom flooded. Fred and Scooby-Doo both lived!
  • Megas XLR: Coop D'Etat (2004; animated) [Gyven]: Possibly destroyed among with the rest of the Halcyon Knights when Coop (voiced by David DeLuise) accidentally set everything on fire which also cause Halcyon to blow up.
  • Transformers Prime: Con Job (2011; animated) [Vehicon Trooper]: Neck snapped by Wheeljack (James Horan).
  • Generator Rex: Divide by Six (2011; animated) [One]: Died after possessing Rex (voiced by Daryl Sabara)then bonded with the island and restored its natural balance, becoming one with everything.
  • Transformers Prime: Triangulation (2012; animated) [Megatron/Vehicon Trooper #1]: Vehicon Trooper #1 is shot to death by Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen); Megatron survives the episode.
  • Robot Chicken: Poisoned By Relative (2012) [Rebellion Leader/Various]: The Rebellion Leader is decapitated with an axe by King Ding Dong (Billy Zane), the rest of his characters survive.
  • Transformers Prime: Deadlock (2013; animated) [Megatron]: Stabbed in the chest by Bumblebee (Will Friedle) with his sword. (He was later resurrected by Unicron (John Noble) in "Predicons Rising".)

Video Game Deaths[]

  • Fallout (1997) [John Maxson]: Can be killed by the player character, and survives the game otherwise.
  • Transformers (2007) [Megatron]: In the official story mode of the game (Autobot campaign, Xbox 360/Wii/PC/PlayStation 2/PlayStation 3 versions), he is killed by Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen) and then is about to shove the Allspark into his chest.
  • Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen: Autobots (2009) [Megatron]: Killed by James Arnold Taylor.
