- Barry Lyndon (1975) [Sir Charles Lyndon] Dies of illness, off-screen after getting into an argument with Ryan O'Neal.
- The Island (1980) [Windsor]: Shot in the back with a crossbow bolt/arrow by Angela Punch McGregor as he is sneaking up on Michael Caine with a hatchet. His body is briefly seen as some crewmembers of the coast guard come across him
TV Deaths[]
- Ripping Yarns: Murder at Moorstones Manor (1977) [Father]: Shot in the back (off-screen) by either Iain Cuthbertson, Candace Glendenning, Harold Innocent, or Michael Palin, or possibly all four of them. (All of them later confess to the murder.) His body is shown afterwards when Michael, Harold, and Isabel Dean discover him slumped forward at the dinner table. (Played for comic effect.)
- Miss Marple: A Caribbean Mystery (1989) [Major Palgrave]: Poisoned with an overdose of medication by Adrian Lukis.
