  • Only Angels Have Wings (1939) [Kid Dabb]: Badly injured in a small plane crash, he later dies from his injuries with Cary Grant at his side.
  • Gone with the Wind (1939) [Gerald O'Hara]: Dies after falling off a horse while chasing Victor Jory and Isabel Jewell when they leave his plantation. His body is shown on the ground afterwards.
  • The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1939) [Clopin]: Dies after being wounded during the siege of Notre Dame.
  • Bataan (1943) [Cpl. Jake Feingold]: Shot repeatedly by Japanese soldiers; he later dies while talking to Robert Taylor.
